MHBA PRIVACY POLICY


NOTICE:  The Federal Trade Commission has important information here concerning the use of the Internet by children.  

1.  WHAT THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVERS

A.  General. This policy covers how MHBA treats personal information that MHBA collects and receives on the MHBA website, including information related to your past use of MHBA products and services on the MHBA website. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, gender, date of birth, home address, e-mail address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

B.  Companies Not Controlled.  This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that MHBA does not own or control, or to people that MHBA does not employ or manage.

2.  INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

A.  General

 

1.  Collection.  MHBA collects personal information when you register with MHBA, when you use MHBA products or services, when you visit MHBA pages or the pages of certain MHBA partners, and when you enter promotions or sweepstakes. MHBA may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.

2.  Information Sought.  When you register we ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, home address, date of birth, gender and zip code. Once you register with MHBA and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.

3.  IP Address and Cookies.  MHBA automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, MHBA cookie information, and the page you request.

4.  Use.  MHBA uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.

 

B.  Information Sharing and Disclosure

1.  Sharing of Personal Information. MHBA does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

(a)  We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with MHBA under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help MHBA communicate with you about offers from MHBA and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.

 

(b)  We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;

(c)  We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of MHBA's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law; and

(d)  We transfer information about you if MHBA is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, MHBA will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

2.  Ad Targeting.  MHBA displays targeted advertisements based on personal information. Advertisers may assume that people who interact with, view, or click on targeted ads meet the targeting criteria - for example, users from a particular geographic area.

(a)  MHBA does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.

3.  COOKIES

A.  Rights Reserved. MHBA may set and access MHBA cookies on your computer.

4.  YOUR ABILITY TO EDIT AND DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION AND PREFERENCES

A.  General

1.  Editing.  You can edit your MHBA Account Information at any time.

2.  General Marketing Opt Out.  Marketing communications may be sent to you when you specifically opt in to receive those communications. Users can opt out of receiving future marketing communications by following instructions contained in the messages they receive.

3.  MHBA Marketing and Newsletters.  We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the MHBA service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the MHBA Newsletter, that are considered part of your MHBA account, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.

4.  Account Removal.  You can delete your MHBA account by sending a request to the MHBA administrator. However, if you wish to remove any specific information or content that you have posted to the MHBA site, you will need to delete that informaion individually before deleting your account. Information, content or ratings that you post on the site might remain in our archived records after your account has been deleted.

5.  CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

A.  Limited Access to Information.  We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

B.  Protection. Your MHBA Account Information is password-protected.


6.  CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

A.  Updates to the Policy. MHBA may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary e-mail address specified in your MHBA account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
